ME7.5 I have B+ to pin 86 on the ecu. pin 86 is the camshaft position sensor signal wire and should read 5v sqaure wave. I have checked the wire from ecu to sensor. its fine. I got a used ecu installed it and it instantly fried it. Has anyone had this problem or possibly know the ecu schematic. I believe its only pin 86 that is fried. How can I track down this short?

Why is this a pole? How did you short the ecu?

Sorry first time on this forum didnt mean to post as a pole. Thats what im asking I dont know what is shorting it. I have tested all the basics power & ground to ecu the camshaft signal wire all are good but something is causing a short to happen and i believe its only on pin 86.

Why did I write pole instead of poll? lol

Check your o2 sensor wires for damage.

I have also seen a bad cam position sensor cause a no pedal issue but this did not fry ecu, along with all the other things such as melted o2 sensor wires internally shorted o2 sensor due to water damage
