I have one of those, mine's 07K906032BG (2008 2.5L, me7.1.1).
m
I have also failed at getting it into bootmode. I'm going to read the eeprom with my chipreader if it ever arrives. I doubt off'ing it will be simple though.

did you use proper bootpin?  sometimes you must remove resistor to make bootmode on me7.1.1

I had one as well. Funny thing is, it was the biggest PITA to get into bootmode EVER. Needed to short a 1k ohm resistor between 2 pins on the ecu, THEN bootomode it like any other me7. Apparently the CAN-BUS 7.1.1's are tricky.

Hi Daz, Hi Everyone,

My father owns a 2009 Jetta, with the 2.5 20v 5 cylinder engine. Me7.1.1, 07K906032BM
I am having trouble reading the immo bin in this car. Didn't have any trouble reading Immo Bin from my B5 A4 though, using Argdub's tool and my Ross-tech cable.
Any chances of getting it over OBD, or is it a waste of time? I don't need to write anything, just need to recover SKC to program a new key.
This car was made in Mexico and exported to Brazil, as far as I know this is Immo IV.

use a programmer and test clip. or you can attempt to read in bootmode. a version of argdubs tool has support for later e2p chips instead of just 95040.

I got nowhere reading/writing this eeprom over OBD/bootmode. Ended up testclip reading.

Are these the pins you were referring to that you had to short?

Iv also head of having to remove this resistor but have not tried it.

Yep, those are them. Didn't remove the resistor, just jumpered the ones from the first pic.

So you were able to get into bootmode with that trick but had no luck actually reading/writing.
I agree that reading right off the chip is going to be the best route, just trying to get some info on these CAN ME7.1.1 going.

Yep, I got it into bootmode like that, was able to read the flash with galletto and connect with ME7_95040, but reading always failed. I tried everything I could think of, it just didn't work.

Hi,

I will not waste my time through OBD in this car anymore.
Do you recommend any specific clips/softwares to read the immo eeprom?
I saw a few on ebay, but I know some are not good. I will probably use this only one time.
In case it is Immo 4. SKC is in the same place as in the previous versions?

Thanks
