Ibiza Mk3 1.8t with AmD Technik remap - vag.com wont connect

Hi,
I have this car and the engine light is on. I tried connecting vag.com to the engine module and it cant connect (will connect to all over modules)
With a remap, can they stop the obd2 port communicating with ecu?
