file size error
« on: May 08, 2013, 02:34:36 PM »
I am trying to flash a new file on my ECU for an audi S4, the original file was 512kb and the new one is of 1Mb but when flashing the file shows me an error saying "invalid file size: 'name.bin' <error=0x01>"
Do you know something about this? any configuration change required to flash a different size file? or maybe a blank flash to the EEPROM?
Thanks

you are trying to fit a 1024k file onto a 512k chip , see if you look at those two numbers a bit , you will see how it wont work

Get an ECU with a 1M flash.

What tool are you using?
What ECU is it?
What file?
It sounds like you're using ArgDub's tool and attempting to write to the wrong chip.

ME7_95040 is an eeprom programmer, not a flasher.
