Hello everyone!  My name is Eric and no I don't own a Bentley, its just my last name.

I am the proud new owner of a B5 S4 and I have been desperately searching for a tuning solution for Euro platform.  I have spent many days tuning diesels with EFI Live and gas boat engines with MEFI Burn.  I have bricked my fair share of ECM's but thankfully not burned down any motors.  Tuning is nothing new to me, but getting outside of the world of a pre written UI and having to really play with your XDF's is something that I am excited to learn! I am very happy to have found a way to play with the computers on these cars!!  I know I am the newb and I know those senior members here have put in a massive amount of work to get where they are and I am ever so thankful!  I hope to be able to bring something to this community that has been so willing to share the information they have learned here.  I hope to learn a lot about the 'back end' as I like to call it.

I have acquired my cable and software.  I am familiar with TunerPro and the likes, but I am struggling to make the XDF files work.  I have the 8D0907551M xdf loaded and a tune loaded for it as well (since I cannot find an A-Box XDF I am looking to change over to an M) but all the files under Constants/Scalars show up as 30 and all the files in Tables/Functions show up as 0...  I am sure I did something wrong but I am not sure what and after many searches here I have not found anyone with similar issues.

Thanks everyone for what you have done!!

Are you trying to open the A-Box bin with the M-Box XDF?  Doesn't quite sound like it from what you wrote, but let's get that off the table.

Which specific bin and which specific XDF are you using?  Attach and we can easily see what's up.

No, I am trying to open an A with an A.  I have downloaded M tunes and tried to open them with M xdf and still no dice.

Here are my A box tunes.  Going to swap it to M box when I get a better handle on this stuff since it looks like everyone uses it.

Thanks!!

Hmm, when I open them in Tuner Pro all I get are zero's.  I just loaded XDF and tune.  Did you guys do anything more? Am I missing a basic stupid step?

TBH, it looks like that xdf is for a slightly different version as some axis are off, as is ldrxn. Where did you get the file? Are you dead set on keeping it? I can send you a very good xdf and matching M-box file.

Hmm weird because all I can see is this...

I am not set on this tune or any that I currently have.  I bought the car with a "Stage one" JHM tune.  I want to tune the car myself and put it on the best platform for mod-ability.  I want to flash and M tune but I have not quite wrapped my head around flashing the cluster with NefMoto, still need to do a lot of reading on that one.  I would love a good XDF for an M box and a tune to go with it.

Thanks guys.  Lots to learn here, I feel like I did 8 years ago when I started tuning...  Cannot wait to start learning code!

Sorry guys, I found my dumb mistake.  I needed to update TunerPro.  Been using a 4.XXXX version because it was all I needed for MEFI tuning.  I can see everything now.

Hi all.

I'm new to ecu tuning and would like to find easiest way to increase output on a standard Golf 1.9 TDI (77 kw) engine.

I this possible via Bluetooth ELM327 OBD tool, and what software can be used?

Any flashing software available for Android?
