Hello
I have a friend with an ECU 06A 906 032 HN Me7.5 with an error code 16985 - Internal Control Module: Memory Check Sum Error. P0601
The ECU is tuned to 215 hp
I have the same car with the same ECU and software
I had the same problem two years ago and I had to buy a new ECU
My question is can I read out mine 29f800bt with Galletto and copy to the faulty ECU.
Or is there an error in the 95040 eprom that gives the error code
I hope someone can help me

If it is a problem with the 95040 being corrupt then you could always replace it with a new one and program it with a virgin file then re-associate with the instrument cluster. Or just program with a generic dump and disable the immobiliser. I have the same ECU so might be able to help. What car is this in? -C |

It's a 2002 VW Golf GTi with AUQ engine 210 ps
As I read 95040 from my car and put the 95040 in his car than I have to change the VIN?
When my ECU was broken i have must into the garage to read the data out.
Then I brought him to the importer. He has replaced someting in to the ECU.
I had to go back to the garage and the put the data back in the ECU.
Then i have to go back again to the importeur and than he puts something in the ECU and was everything ok now for almost 3 years.
But i don't now what have replaced.

It's probably worth mentioning that you can read and flash the ECU's using the Nefmoto software from this site and a cheap KKL cable.
If the worst happens and you need a new ECU, PM me.

I think i need only a good 95040 or without checksum control.
The car runs ok. but the motor light is on the dashbord

Error code 16985 - Internal Control Module: Memory Check Sum Error can only be cleared by reflashing the ECU over the OBD port. If you use the NefMoto flashing software to flash the ECU, it will clear this error code. If you use a tool to flash in boot mode, it will not clear this error code.

hello,
I have same Problem with an 032HN ECU. It was tuned by ABT before then customer changed injectors i did a remap.
2 days after flashing car doesn't start up with error P0601. I did immo off in eeprom flashed with ktag mpps but the same story after about two days.
In EEPROM deathcode 33H is present in second and third line. Anybody knows how to access EEPROM from code?
I want to find area where bytes are set to 33H and change to normal value of 00H. The descriptor table of the EEPROM lines is at 0x8432.
