I have a 2000s4 and just installed logger and and when im plugged into car and start logger it say ecu #s dont match.. im guessing its wrong bin file?? Ive tried several and none fix the problem. Please help.

Read out your ecu and use that to create a template wnd go from there

There's a complete read-me in the DOC subfolder. Search for Quickstart. If you're asking how to read your ECU in the basic sense, download the Nefmoto software from this site and use that.

ok ive read the ecu with neftmoto software...now how do i creat a bin from that

OK I PICKED appropriate memory layout and now when trying to read ecu so i can save the bin and start logging car here is msg i get : Validated FTDI device is in dumb mode. Disconnected Connecting... any suggestions?? Ive tried using generic .bin file from the archives on this site and when i hit log it ends with final error message of ->

'RequestUpload may have been disabled by aftermarket engine software'. Your ECU looks like it is already remapped mate so probably blocking it.

so all in all I cannot get the the .bin from website to work when trying to log and i cannot pull .bin from ecu either, its a eurodynee tapp ko4 file on there right now and i want to look at some logs and diagnose car....really having hard time getting up and running. would really appreciate support as ive followed walk through to a T... one

Im not sure but one of the logs you posted shows that you need a .bin file with the HW number : '0261206776' you was trying to use HW number : '0261206110' Try searching for the correct HW number then give it a shot

THank you, my car is supposed to be a box but would not run that file so i ran G and it worked great, Also i believe you need to pick specific usb port or it will have errors that will further distract.. thanks nefmoto community for amazing product.
