Maybe I should force a disconnect after writing flash in future versions...

Pretty sure this would be why Galletto has you turn off the ignition for 10 seconds after the flashing is done. The ECU needs a little time to "finish up", patience is always a good thing with this kind of stuff.

Galletto using boot mode and boot mode flashing in general bypasses the factory flashing protocols, and so it won't remove the "invalid checksum" error code.

It bypasses the factory flashing protocols even when not using boot mode?

I updated the previous post to be clear I was only referring to Galletto in boot mode.

I have never been able to flash an S4 ECU with Galletto when not using boot mode.

I just had this issue too using the v3.2 tune from judeisnotobscure. I tried following the same steps on here: complete a successful flash, disconnect etc... And didn't have any luck. After flashing and disconnecting I could connect again/start the car once before it wouldn't connect/start again. Only DTC that showed was P1602 which I think is just from disconnecting the battery so I could connect to the ECU again.

Any ideas?

You have to flash a stock file back on with the Nefmoto flasher, then click disconnect when the flash is done before unplugging your cable....
I'm working with mtx right now to fix my checksum plugin, sorry for all the problems it is causing.

Thanks, i will fix the checksums.  How can I verify they are correct other than my checksum pluggin popping up in a little window? I would like to not post any more files with bad checksums.

Hello mates i have the same problem here i am using the nefmoto flashing tool about a week now and in my 3rd flash suddenly yesterday my car just won't start. I double checked my checksums reflashed old working version nothing. Even tried the 20minute ignition on trick. Nothing. Can anyone help? I will try tommorow again by connecting a power suply to the battery but during my previous efforts i didn't have any problems with the voltage. Please help i would appreciate any help provided.
