I think I might be in limp mode, but I'm not sure.

I can't reach beyond 5psi and I am running a stage 1 file with piggies and exhaust. I have flashed over 4 different files via Nefmoto and a Vag-Com cable. Various stage 1 and stage 2 files, just to get SOMETHING to work. Even when I bought it, I never broke 5-6psi on a stock map.

I scanned with Vag Com in the VCDS lite program and got this error code:

17866 Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236) Short to Ground
P1458 35 - 00.

I have cleared it once, but it came back on immediately after a 2 minute drive. Could this be triggering limp mode?

Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or how I can fix this?

clearing codes w/o fixing the underlying problem is what you are doing wrong Tongue

You can fix it by replacing driver's side egt sensor. It takes less time than code it out! Yes it limps for that.

Thanks all. I ended up flashing with a stage 2 map with EGT's coded out. Worked like a charm!
