The only time you would need ESKONF is if you unplug the SAI relay.

Exactly. And didn't change ESKONF, so I used a resistor to trick it. Not that it really matters on the bench Wink

I'm trying to take this a step further and remove some more SAI related hardware.

I have been looking for AA FF 00 30 33 F8 30 (or parts there of). It's easily located in my me7 damos right before KFKHFM, but again I cannot find it in the 8N0906018AE. Since these are bit switches, I have looked for "variants" also. AA FF I have assumed is valid - four ignition coils and 4 NC.

ddillenger will probably yell at me because I didn't look hard enough Cool but please, give me a hint at least.

Hint:

Narrowband starts with FF FF 00

MSLUB=Passed, but only after the requisite amount of time. The tests with VCDS will just abort.

What timeframe and prerequisites are we talking about here? I did test with _only_ MSLUB=0 and got OBDII Readiness Passed (And VCDS Passed) when first checking after a week or so.
Then I was doing some other test that had nothing to do with SAI. During those tests SAI was enabled (MSLUB = stock)

When I put the software with MSLUB=0 back, it don't show readiness passed, even after a one hour drive.  Huh

Edit : Drive one hour today, and 15 minutes yesterday.

Now readiness is set again. I guess I didn't allow it to idle when cold long enough.

You can set it manually as well, but the test might abort a few times before it passes.

Otherwise, a few cold start cycles where the SAI pump would be expected to run is all it takes.
