After a lot of reading and looking at schematics, I was also wondering about the consequences of using a 10 pin header versus a 12 pin header. The chinese clones use the 10 pin header but at the cost of leaving out some signals (3.3v and VFLSx). What's the impact

Due to various application requirements, there are 3 possible MPC555, MPC53x, and MPC56x BDM connector pinouts. In addition, there is a fourth option available does not use the VFLS[0:1] or FRZ signals and determines the freeze status solely on information clocked out of the MPC55x and MPC56x debug port. However, this option is not supported on all debuggers.
