Hi,

Sorry I know it's not ME7......

I completed an OBD read and had the OBD read tuned.

However I am doing the flash over BDM which means I will need to inject the calibration data into the file.

So I would like the damos to ensure I am only copying calibration data and not accidentally overwriting operation/cks data.

Thanks

i dont understand your confusion.
you have an ori obd read, tuned obd read, and can obviously bdm.
read bdm, compare obd ori to tuned then copy those changes to the bdm read and reflash.

am i missing something?

That's exactly what I want to do.
Firstly when I remove the no read on tuned file and then open in OLS I get some warning about ECU may be bad and then I correct the 1 incorrect checksum. I expect to correct the checksum as I have changed the file by overwriting with f's. But still not sure about bad ECU but everything checksums fine and get 71 which is correct. Ori obd read does not have this problem.

But let's ignore this as I'm injecting calibration data into BDM anyway.

So at the moment that's exactly what I'm doing, copying changes from tuned obd to ori obd. But there are some differences that do not look like map data in 2D but then again they could be switches. More likely to be checksums or maybe programming data. But without the damos I do not know one way or the other, I'm just concerned that I may be replacing data in the file that is not calibration data.

In fact I know it won't be programming data...... But not sure if I blindly copy data that is a cks into the other file whether or not this will screw the file or the checksum correction will overwrite that area anyway with the correct checksum.

It's just this ECU error I get in ols that makes me cautious of the changes that don't look like maps

Hi, I don't think it did indicate anything about virtual eeprom but  I will screenshot exact error message when I get home soon.

hi,

So the error reads "Not all of the expected blocks were found. Maybe the ECU won't work."

But i have done a comparison between the two files and i cannot see any data areas where there is data missing between the 2.

thanks all i sorted this, and there was some issues i encountered when copying the calibration data in.

It wasn't a straight copy and paste task.

Any chance you can post the complete will with code and calibrations?  I'm interested to decompile it.

Haha, another reason is to try an understand the DECOS fuel system, it appears to be the same in the later Volvo's as Ford ME9 Smiley  No FR for that.
