I have been to the junkyard now and scavenged two spare ecu boxes, both from the awt engine. One from an vw Passat and the other was from an Audi a4 -2001
One of the ECU's "box number" ended with an R instead of CG as the other box and the box I have in my car. Is it something special or different with the R box?
Which years and models etc. have the awm, aww and awp engine codes?

Does somebody make bench flashing harness/tool and PnP wideband harness on this forum?
Because I am not that savvy when it comes to soldering and the electrical stuff.

My car has the same awt motor, ecu ends in R. The etka thingie lists cg or r ecus, i don't know what the difference would be? Possibly awd's got the r version? Just a guess.
Also, from what I've looked up and tried to make sense of the awt is wideband already?
I've never found a great deal of info on the awt

I got quattro, and my ECU box is a CG. I don't think awt is wideband, but I can be wrong.
Is it some easy way I can check if the engine uses wideband lambda?

It seems it is hard to find awm ECU's here in Sweden.
How about aww and awp ECU's, can I use them in my A4 1.8tq -01 if wanna go wideband lambda?
What ECU's are an direct "fit" for my engine that uses the 018CG ECU?

I tried to read my ecu in my car using the narrowband memory layout, but that didn't work. So I tested the wideband memory layout and it was successful.

oh you know what I was talking about ATW (USDM) not AWT engine code... Im snot sure to be honest... a easy way to find out for sure is count how my wires go to the first o2 sensor... Sorry for the confusion

I checked my lambda with VAG-COM an it seems to show lambda values and not volt. So I do have wideband lambda on my car.
The values when I checked was:
Lambda actual value - 1.000 Lambda spec value - 0.766
That must mean wideband lambda values, right?
