x17 works in boot, but OBD II you can forget in most cases.
Even if you unlock it, at least on VAG I don't have a single successfull OBD write. Always get some error.
Does not matter if it is EDC17CP04, CP14, CP44 etc, tried most of them...

Hi guys,

First of all I am a novice in respect to tuning.
(I do however know my way about clusters, unlocking and modifying.)

I bought a clone FG54 to make a backup of my EDC17CP14 in bootmode, just to be safe.
Is it possible afterwords to write a tuned file using OBD ?
Or do you recommend to write it also while in bootmode?

Regards,
