so i read for the first time with galetto yesterday and the file came out as 512 kb and wasnt a .bin file this was ecu 4b0 907 551 t audi a6
what did i do wrong?

btw i flashed a 1mb file on it and still only reads 512 and car wont start

The memory layout. 29F800BB is for 1mb files.

You left it on 29F400BB more likely.
