Hi all,

I flashed the attached .bin file earlier on today, the car run fine and when I turned it off and back on the immo kicked in after 3 seconds and now the car won't start at all. I have tried reflashing the original .bin file I pulled from the car before this happened but I now get the "Immobilizer not authenticated" (or something along these lines) error message and nefmoto will not carry on with the flash. I'm now currently stuck with a £1200 paperweight outside my house. Please help me regarding this as I am very unsure on what to do. When I uploaded the X908GBFALS.bin to the car, it went without a hitch and the car ran like a dream (albeit with ALS/LC!) and now it won't start, won't reflash or anything.

The ECU needs to be re-coded because the immo has now been activated.

You need vag-com atleast, and you need the login codes.

Why have you put AL/NLS on this file?  What power are you running just now, or planning to run?

The file failed because you done the checksums.  Get the original file back on, get the car started by recoding the ECU to the clocks (get the login code from the clocks), and use Ross-tech to find out how.

Once it's running, get a standard file on it, learn how to add fuel, boost and get a file you're happy with.

Once you're capable of doing checksums and fuel, then look at AL.  Don't just thing you can patch AL on and that's it, you'll probably throw a rod.

Easyest way is to remove the IMMO , read in the Cluster/Immo section , if you can remove the ecu PM me I'll help you.

Be aware of using als/nls - You are risking bent rods

I was absolutely exhausted last night so my reply didn't make too much sense.

Does the ECU read at all?  If it doesn't, it's gonna need bootmode.  Or try removing the battery terminals, short them together for 30 seconds and reconnect.  It might let you connect.

Either way, it sounds like the ECU needs bootmoded.

Get your standard file on it first, make one small change (disable 02 or something), get it checksum'd and get it flashed.  Get comfortable with that.

Don't delv in and add AL, loads of fuel, boost, etc, etc.

Hi Adam,

No problem, I majorly rushed on this and now I'm completely stuck, more fool me hey? (Lesson Learnt though!)

ECU doesn't read through VCDS, Nefmoto, Vag-Commander etc etc I have a feeling its all down to this "Immobiliser not authenticated" All I want to do is put my car back to standard and start with SMALL tweaks and see how it goes. Eventually I'd like to IMMO OFF my car and hopefully never have this issue again. I've been looking into putting the ECU into boot mode but because I don't have a galetto cable at present (Only the standard cheap KII Blue VCDS Cable and a FT232R-chipped cable) I'm unsure if I'll be able to do anything in boot-mode?
