I'm getting this error when I try to validate my memory layout.  Couldn't find any mention of it when searching, so I'm starting a thread now.

Quote
Disabling Windows sleep mode.
Validating memory layout.

Successfully read ECU identification information
ECU reports programming session preconditions have been met.

Validating flash memory starts at 0x00800000 and ends at 0x00900000.
Validation failed, ECU reports RequestUpload was rejected. RequestUpload may have been disabled by aftermarket engine software.
100% complete.
Validating memory layout failed.
Restoring Windows sleep mode.

I am 100% sure my ECU is stock and does not have software on it.

The car is a 2001.5 B5 S4 with an M-box. Memory layout is ME7 29F800BB.  Is it possible it's one of the other layouts?  Looking in the wiki, there are no other options listed for the 2.7T.

Well, I decided to just try to flash the ECU without validating the memory layout and it worked fine.  Still no idea why it would fail though.

Does the ECU have aftermarket software on it?

As far as a I'm aware, no.  Don't think it's even had a trial flash before?

On the 2.7T S4 I have only seen the RequestUpload get rejected when there is aftermarket software on the ECU that disables reading.

Well if it did have some kind of aftermarket software on it, I overwrote it today when I flashed judeisnotobscure's file onto it to test it.  Everything is working great now, so I'm not sure what the deal was.
