Ok, stupid question time....

I have a Skoda Octavia MK 1 on an o4 plate, 1.8T AUQ Engine with modest mods.  Friend has similar setup but has a "questionable" remap.

We were thinking along the lines that dump his rom flash my car however in the process of just looking at the files post an ME7Check we see :

His is the first, my standard the second.

Obvious question tho, hardware number appears different, and from what my limited knowledge thinks is that this map started life on a MK4 Golf, are the two different ECUs compatible? or will he and I perhaps run into issues?

Furthermore, what is :

-> EPK = 41/1/ME7.5/51/4019.02//24C/Dst01o/141003/

And what does it represent?

You'll likely have issues if you flash between ECU hardware revisions. I can't confirm this though. I have the same ECU / sw as your friend. If you post your original I can take a look to see how close it is to the 6032HN.

My map first, second friends map....

Is it usual to find different ECUs accross the same cars, (same age and model)?

Would appreciate all feedback about it Smiley

I'll have a good look at these tomorrow and feedback as it's bed time in my time zone Smiley Others here may also be able to shed light on any differences.

It is quite common to see difference versions in identical cars in my limited experience.

Well apart from an offset the files are pretty similar (not including the mapping changes). Sorry I can't be more help but it is a different revision to my s/w so it's a bit of work to get my maps to line up.

How did you get the Jabba file out, over OBD with NefMoto?

The Audi guys have good success flashing between hardware variants but I've not yet read anyone doing it to a 6032xx box. Can anyone comment?

Next time I see him Ill ask.

I used NefMoto to do mine...

Apart from the hardware variants, would there be any issue with me copying the actual map data from the modded 32HN using Winols to my 32SJ file? is there anything else in the map that may require copying across?

He is achieving roughly 210 to 215bhp and 230lb/ft

nuriyan,

Can you list the mods of your friends car? My brother has Skoda Octavia RS, this could turn useful.

One more thing that might help you: When i received ECU from eurodyne, it had part number "06A 906 032 HS" but it had "06A 906 032 LP" software flashed, this is part number that VCDS report...and my car (which is european GTI) calls for "06A 906 032 HJ" (original ECU part number) but the one i got from euroedyne works just fine :-)

I have no idea what the difference is between all these but I think you can definitely try it. Use boot mode if you get in trouble to flash back your original file.

This is good info. Thanks for sharing. I have a spare 6032HN that can try flashing to SJ. just might take a while as I only have a PITA way of cloning the E^2. If I get any results I'll post back.

I have a Golf IV GTI engine code AUQ and i have a different ECU hardware code "MJ" . It is very common to find different ECU hardware numbers across same engine codes. I don't know if there are any differences though. If anyone knows for sure let us know.

Ok just flashed this to my brothers skoda and the car was stock like and stock boost levels. I returned it back to his original tune and it's a lot faster.
Are you sure this is jabbasport tuned file? It looks like stock HN file.

Interesting....

Just used HexWorkshop to compare and can see subtle differences, using Winols I have checked the maps and there are small changes....

This doesnt bode well....
