Hi,

I am new so please take it easy on me.

I recently had a chip installed (196HP tune from ebay) onto my ECU. It really made a big difference.

Now I would like to run ethanol.

I was able to run ethanol in my subaru and tuned it myself with romraider.

Now my undertanding is that unisettings in the way that you tune these cars for E85, but I can't use that because my car is older (m3 or m5 vs m7).

But can I use VCDS lite to do the same thing as unisettings does?

Using adaption?

Do I need a code to log in?

I would really be only wanting to increase fuel trims by 25% and just add some timing.

Possible?

Just an update,
I tried it now and it seems to have worked. Running eflex now which is between 70-85 % ethanol.

stock injectors and fuel pump for the time being.
Maybe when I get a bigger tubro then I will upgrade the injectors and pump.

Didn't adjust the timing yet, may increase it in the near future.

WWW

If you want to use adaptation channels like in unisettings then read this:

You will have to flash bin first. Also for proper E-85 you have to do way more than adjusting these factors

Thank you masterj, can I ask for proper e85, what else would I have to do?

I'm pretty sure I'm on m3.8.2.

Would it involve changing my ecu into one that is flashable?

With your chipped ecu, if the chip is in socket, is enough to pop the chip , plug it in reader, reflash and pop it back in the ECU.
And what comes for proper E85 tune, there is good thread about that here:

I plan to tune my m3.8.2 (8D0907557T) for E85 as time permits.
