noobie needing help with launch control

hi all new to nefmoto and a friend wants me to add launch control to his 2.7t a6
im following guide here:

im on section 4 but unable to find the offsets in the file im using HxD to look at file but unable to locate the offset any help would be really great :-)

file is attached whats best program to add the hex edit in as ive tried HxD and just a generic hex editor i found on line

That's a 551C ECU, there's a definition file for it

For step 4 on the guide whats best program to add the hex subroutine into please

If you can't alter 4 bytes in a file I suggest you are out of your depth here and need to do some more reading!
