well not sure if I am barking up the wrong tree but I seem to have an issue with my R32 post remap.

The post CATs O2s have been coded out with left foot braking also enabled.

The car occasionally feels very strong but normally very flat so I done a few runs logging GRP 120 in VCDS and came up with the following data (image attached) after converting the engine load to FtLbs.

Now I guess taking the engine actual torque value as gospel may not be strictly correct but I'm hoping its good enough for relative hardware change comparisons.  However the graph shape does match my last dyno run pretty much exactly.

The lower more linear torque trace is what I suspect I seem to feel and every now and again the car goes like stink in comparison (top torque trace).

I have no VCDS faults, new MAF, fuel trims look healthy and I'm at a loss on how to narrow in on the issue.

After eventually finding my standard 022 906 032 CP backup bin file I installed ME7 logger and the GUI on my trusty laptop yesterday, hooked it all up and went for a quick drive.

Well... what a fantastic program and the sample rate is excellent but I'm now at a bit of a loss with regard as to what to log in order to try and identify the lack of torque issue.

Hi!

Have you checked the valve on the exhaust?  Is it closing/opening easy?

Cheers!

post the original logs.

also, you might want to consider using ECUxPlot

I'll get up to speed on ECUxPlot tomorrow.   Smiley

I only took one log in ME7 as I wasn't overly sure of what I was logging at first and post data collection I spent some time reading through the ME7 info on here and making the odd change to my ME7Logger .cfg file.

Can you flash the stock file and see if that hole is still there?

To hand I only have the translated Galletto from somewhere around here and a decent quality FTDI cable that I reprogrammed with the SN, no MPPS or anything else.

I did put together a bench harness last year to pull a bin from an older 022906032CN ECU (it had one of those electronic key scrambler boards in place)  so I had to resort to boot mode hence making the harness.  The CP ECU that's in the car at present hasn't had the SMD resistor removed so I wont be able to drop it into boot mode.  In any case I'm working away from home at the moment so the harness and other tools are out of my reach for at least the next two weeks.

So... is there something I can use to back up the existing modified bin and rewrite the stock bin over the obd2 port in the meantime for testing?

I have a 022906032CP ECU but thankfully I have a backup of the Bin

LOL Humour aside I thought NefMoto had issues reading/ flashing an R32 Me7.1.1 ECU over the ODB port?

Yes, Nefmoto will not work with the R32 ecu. Best bet is MPPS.

$20 on eBay... I never used nefmoto software until yesterday.. I left my clone MPPs out in the sun for a few hrs and well...rip
Sorry for the misinformation... recently my flawless MPPs cable has had connection issues failed writes... write errors... I just ordered a bdm frame / tool and 2 more MPPs cables. Last weekend I remapped a mk5 with mpps... took for ever and I felt like I was going to shoot my pants for the entire 40 min + read more so the 40 min write... in hinesight it was extremely stupid knowing the issues. That could have happened...
