Howdy. Im new on the forum been reading this stuff for about a year and finally gathered the balls to take the plunge. I have still a lot to learn. I started today with a full read and been using tunerpro and s4tuning wiki to help me out I just have a few questions.

My current platform I believe is a Me7.5 while doing the full read I could not find the memory layout for a Me7.5 so I used the Me7.1 for the S4's now I read somewhere if it wasn't the right memory layout the program wouldn't let you do a read out But im not completely sure my maps are the same as the s4s. So has anyone had an issue with this?

Next problem, Im stock turbo with intake and 3 inch exhaust. Now on S4tuning wiki it states to start with fueling but if your staying stage 1-2+ you really don't need to mess with anything but  KFLBTS however in tuner  pro it states Desired Lambda for component protection. This doesn't make sense to me to add fuel here. Well some sense but little confused whether to touch fueling or not now.

It depends what year the car is, some were 3.8 and some were 7.5.

Do fuelling, it means you can never go wrong.  You'll need a fresh pump, the old one goes weak.

This is all covered man, if you can't get the memory layout you're gonna struggle..

Memory layout for me7.5 and me7.1 9/10 are times the same mostly anything 2001+ use 800bb lay out early me7.5 (2000) is 400bb memory layout and early me7.1 s4 (99?)where 400bb too. Worse case you have half the read you want or double it.
What year is your mk4? 2001+ is 800bb... Oh yeah if you select the wrong memory layout it will still read...

I finally found a good XDF for tuner pro for my car. However, none of my maps are uniform everything is scatted my Engine Desired Load is basically all at 957 across the board which if this is desired boost would it be linear?

The memory layout has nothing to do with locating the maps. It defines how the file is read. You need to find an xdf for YOUR file.

Yes I realized that now I found two but they don't seem to work for my Ecu. I was using the one from wiki S4tuning but somehow it has disappeared and whenever I re download the XDF it saves as a html and cant use it in tuner pro. And that XDF seemed to be more true considering boost map was actually linear and tapper off the Y axis however made no sense... on all these XDF it doesn't make any sense

That read is suspect. 3 checksum errors? Is this a tune?

what exactly do you want help with? There is a definition file in the ECU definition file section of this forum for the 032lp/pl file.
