Its been a while and I am still not able to connect Me7logger I seriously need help.


What i did is take out the instrument cluster and behind there is a green connector on the right side. I opened this connector and take a piece of wire to connect 2 wires together,  the wire that goes to pin 5 with the wire from pin 28, leave the pins like they were in the connector. I actually wired those to an outside switch so I can connect and disconnect those pins anytime without taking the cluster out.

I still loose connection when i turn ignition on.

Then I tried to remove the instrument cluster fuse. I dont recall which fuse was it but when I took it off the instrument cluster turned off, no lights. I started the car, removed the fuse, and tried to connect the logger, still loose connection

The logger works fine while the car is off and key is in ignition, when I turn the ignition on (even without turning the car on) the logger looses connection.

What to do??

Is it a cable problem?

I tried to remove radio fuse, logger didn't work neither.

As soon as I turn the key the logging stops.

What am I doing wrong?
Is it connected to the baud rate and similar details?

Mine was doing this, MK4 AUM with the stupid Bosch clocks.

Would connect with key in, but as soon as you turned the ignition on, it would drop out.  Started the car, removed the cluster fuse (so that the immo had auth. properly), and it would connect.

Happy days!  I think if it's not connecting even without the cluster fuse, you're gonna have to run another OBD port separate to the orig.  (With all the other k-lines disconnected).

Chlippo, You are not alone i have the exact same problem. I think the next thing to do it rewire the k-line directly from the ecu to the obd 2 port. That way it bypasses the instrument cluster. I think this will cause problems however with values for the cluster. Im stuck just like you.

Pulling the fuses and changing to 0x00slow didnt do anything for me. Still trying things

I'm in the same boat. It logs fine with Nefmoto, but not with Setzi.
Also, I pull every fuse and my cluster stays on.

01.
Slow init succeeded.
Switching to KWP2000 session.
Connected
Disconnecting because no response was received for the Tester Present message.

Not sure if the module is actually bad it has code for speed sensor. Should i unplug that bastard??
