OOPS What a day finally got round to adjusting the file to what looked like a good starting map.I loaded onto my mpps, checksummed it then uploaded it to my seat leon 1.8t 2001.I was told flash was completed successfully and it started,I then left it for 10 mins came back and it is dead.I tried to read/id again and it says no ecu found, yippee….

Can anyone help me please I was under the impression that the 7.5 could be flashed via obd am I wrong should have I bench flashed, what the hec have I done.

No, it's not common. With ME7.5 it's not necessary to benchflash/boot mode - unless you mess up Wink

Thankyou for replying.I didn't think it was normal,I am reading/writing every day but not with mpps and I have never had this but this is my first file I have tuned. If I put my file here can anyone have a look to see if there is something wrong there.
Mpps was correcting checksum while writing and it started staright away with mpps saying it was writing successful.
I dont want to make matters worse if the file is corrupt,I did put it on here and ask for it to be checked and it was ok.

I dont think MPPS corrects checksum to ME7.5 (correct me if I am wrong) and I use the original one.
Try to bench the ECU if it has connection there , maybe something else is the problem.

Hi I benched the ecu with my mpps and my k tag and it read the file.Am I doing something wrong by not bridging pin 24 on the chip just turning my power supply of when it asks.It tells me it read properly!
I think I have not checksummed the file as I have found out mpps(and yes it is original master)does not checksum these ecu's.
Thankyou for replying i will keep you posted,

update of this nightmare.I tried to boot/bench the ecu to either recover or flash original file but it would not do anything it kept coming up with either ecu not found or no information,I tried every mode but to no avail.
I eventually desoldered and flashed the original file back to the chip via batronix which worked brilliantly car now runs with original file.
I read the file from the chip and it was not the correct checksummed file I didn't realise it had been put in another folder so I had uploaded the unchecksummed file by mistake.
My concern is why I couldn't reupload another file or recover the ecu can anyone help,

Did you really put ecu in bootmode?

You confuse me Smiley . ECU is dead ok ? Now when in boot mode you where able to read the file......Now...why did`nt you just write the file while in boot ? What I understand is that you just checked and read the file via boot ,but did not write a file while in boot mode .It makes no sense if it is able to read a file and cannot write in boot mode Smiley

Hi Thankyou for replying.I m sorry if it confusing it is to me also.I went through the boot procedure(as I read on the forum)I id the ecu fine,I read the ecu fine,I then went to write the file immediately and it came up with ecu not found.I then did the same procedure over 10 times in different modes i.e. recover, bench mode and the same.Either getting no ecu found or no information.I  did it with power to immo and no power to immo.
I have 13.5v feed(checked multimeter),I held my earth to pin 24 turned on held earth for 3-5 secs then went to write and the same outcome.I tried without boot pin the same, the ecu will id and read without using boot pin but no write every time I had to turn power off and reopen mpps and it did everything except write.
I hope this is clearer basically it all id,read but won't write anyway I try too but read/writes with chip reader.

Maybe next time try this, put into boot mode, do not click ecu Id or read, just click write file in slow mode

I know that works for edc15 ecus when they don't want to play ball

Probably (only probably) 29f800 is dead. I had the issue like that.
I read the file, but couldnt write it via OBD, boot and desoldering. Bought new 29f800 and everything works fine.
