I'm using the hs mappack in here, and trying to translate all the definitions to english. When I modify the parameters of the entry and save it, I can't re-open the xdf, and get a filename error. Any ideas?

I am currently using the same hs pack because mine does the same exact thing. I just ended up creating my own xdf from the maps found on the bigger hs pack it may be to large or something but thats just what i did. Unifortionetly copy and paste tables doest work for me so its a slow going process of creating my xdf.

I have the same issue with xdfs that are converted using mapdump which is probably how this HS xdf was created.

edit the xdf by hand.

look at the xdf itself and see where tunerpro messed it up. probably a bug.

the format is self explanatory (unlike the idiotic ols and kp formats)

any reason you haven't posted the broken xdf here yet?

You can take the large all german 06A hs .xdf, and change anything within it, save the changes, and when you try and open it again it gives this naming fault. I can attach one if you think it will help.

Here is a link to said xdf. Not sure if I mentioned this, but it opens fine until you save it after making a change.

I'd probably start by writing a script to replace all the html entities (eg "e; and random &#XXX;) with simple ASCII chars.

Also, consider cutting it down significantly, large xdfs tend to make tunerpro unstable.

I have the feeling that whatever tuner pro is writing out is corrupted because there are so many maps.

Have you diffed the original xdf with the modified one?

I started by taking a few of the german map descriptions and adding the english translation after it, leaving both. Just doing that made the file unable to open after saving..Thanks for the assistance by the way! Smiley

Have you tried editing the xdf directly?

Remove every map (and folder) except for the one you are editing.

save the xdf.

try to load it.

if it fails, post the xdf here.
