I am new to logging and in need of advice.  My fear is that I have a boost leak internal to my engine, possibly valve seals?  What can I monitor that might give me clues to where my leak is located, internal, external, valve seals, head gasket?

I am looking for a leak because I keep getting 'misfire: too rich -bank 1 (Mult)' codes that I cannot get rid of.  This is the only engine code that has plagued me and I've had it reoccuring for the last two years I've owned the car.  I have tested and found many leaks (old car 137k) however nothing so far has gotten rid of the code.  I recently flashed stock bin to my ECU to avoid the possibility that my Uni tune could be complicating the issue.  I also have TT225 injectors but I haven't heard of this result just from having these on the car and they've always been there since I've owned the car.

I've been leak testing using a compressor, feeling around and used soapy water.  Currently my major leaks were the crankcase breather, oil cap and dipstick tube, all post intake leaks so they can be ignored yes?  I have reinforced the crankcase breather and oil cap so these should be fine though I haven't leak tested after replacing gaskets. I have current VCDS and NefMoto available to me for logging.

I had a Uni 2+ tune on the car before with the same results, that and I had read that since the TT225 injectors flowed only slightly more than stock (345 vs 400??) that the ECU could accommodate it.

Is there an easy way to edit injector size (via VCDS?) or will I have to edit the EEPROM to accomplish this?

i m almost sure that stock a4 injectors flow 282cc and tt's flow 386cc and no there isnt you will need to edit your bin and flash it.

If they are commercial, please do not post them. You added 40 percent more fuel and are wondering why you are getting rich codes? The ecu can correct up to 25 percent in either direction, but you will start getting codes at 10 percent. Once you go full retard you're in limp mode.

Thanks for the info, I have flashed back to stock with your help so I won't be posting anything that isn't already up here in one form or another (no uni tune)...  Though I did have Uni before and still had 'rich' codes.  BTW flashing back to stock tune fixed my SAI pump issue, that was the first of my two major issues down for the count  Cheesy

Alright, attached are the stock flash bin and the EEPROM contents I dumped using ME7_95040 which should be different from what is flashed in the stock file since ddillenger helped me immo defeat.

Let me know if there's anything else needed.

Alright, I'm so lost, I was kind of hoping for a .bin I could just flash.  Installed WinOLS then opened the file, I got two notifications about not finding checksums I'm hoping I can just ignore, then I was asked which properties I wanted applied (The top two couldn't be selected together, selecting the unchecked one would uncheck the one above it) so I left it as pictured and saved. Then I got asked to fill in a bunch of metadata nonsense (i'm hoping) and so I just skipped that.

Now that I have the file open I can't find any option to flash the file. Is this a bin file in disguise that I can flash with NefMoto?
