Hey, is it possible to write the file of the 240ps (8N0 906 018 CA) on the Ecu of an 225ps ( 8N0 906 018 CB)? I tried it today but the Car doesn't start. Checksums are all ok in WinOLS and the immo is off already. Maybe I need an other EEprom from the 240ps? I have seen that the maps have othe adresses in both files.
Is there anybody hwo had the eeprom file of the 240ps bfv engine with 8N0 906 018 CA or know what I have to change in EEprom?
I already turned off the checksum in the eeprom.

Thanks for helping  Smiley

I don't know what du you mean? Where ist the internal Rom? Are the Adresses of the Maps stored ther? I think the Problem is that the CA ecu has the Maps at other Adresses and the Car can't Start because this. Now the question is what i Must change the the ecu know where the Maps Are in the other file... Do you know what i mean?

Thank you Smiley

What SW-Version do you have? i can refer to a 375111 v0010 (at least thats what ME7L says)
CPU ROM is absolutely identical to all other ME7.5 1.8T i read till today.
Shouldnt be a problem to run this SW on another HW as i did before, only difference might be: Eeprom coded as Testmodel and i used a RoadRunner instead of the original Flash. But in fact that shouldnt be a reason why it shouldnt work. Maybe something done wrong with your immo off? And what do you mean when you say "turned the  checksums off" ?

In what kind is this related to reverse Engineering?
Why do you even want to do this SW-switchover? Theres no real benefit.

You read not enough  Wink
You can find difference from 0x0 offset.

First ROM
FA   00   CC   76   FA   82   04   00   FA   00   A6   79   FA   82   0C   00

Second ROM
FA   00   70   64   FA   82   04   00   FA   00   18   67   FA   82   0C   00

i won't contradict on this Wink
i dont know to which group the CB belongs, but the CA has the version starting with:
FA 00 70 64 FA 82 04 00 FA 00 18 67 FA 82 0C 00

I just want to do this because I have the TT qs engine in my golf 2 but I have just a ecu from a bam engine. With checksums off I mean the testmode in eeprom but I didn't test it till now with the other software from the ca on it.

Do you mean in testmode should it work?
Can you attach the eeprom from the ca or send via pm please? I have this software number Smiley

Just take the important parts from the 240 file and put them into the 225 file.

I did this and made a file 240bhp all ok. But file is gone due to forum change around.

afaik theres no mechanical difference between the bfv and a bam engine, so there is really no point to convert to the CA Software. Generating these 15 additional hp is done in 5 minutes if its all you are looking for.
If you are just aiming for the standard BFV power niveau change LDRXN to the same as it is in the CA-File and you're good to go. You can do the same to KFZW/KFZW2 if you feel more comfortable with it
