How does the Me7 in 2.7t picks its values in cells.
Ie:

Load vs timing.

We have 10deg at 180 cell load, 8.5 deg at 200cell load both at 4000rpm.
Logs are showing 190ish load at 4000rpm
Does Me7 picks a value from 180 or 200 load cell or interpoalate something in-between??

Thats what exactly me7 does  Wink
((200-190) * (10-8.5)) / (200-180) = 0.75
10 - 0.75 = 9.25deg at 190 load

One more thing.

We have two ignition timing maps. Based on cam switchover Me picks values.
kfzw2 uses up to 5500rpm in my case. What happes with values in kfzw2 that are not used, ie after 5500rpm?? Could we have any value there we want if its not used??

Best way to tune these maps is to disable cam switching and run logs. Keep cams retarded, run logs. Tune timing throughout entire table. Then, keep cams advanced, run logs. Tune timing. When you are done, enable cam switching again!

I am thinking in a normal engine function, cams are never retarded. They are always switching. So what would be the benefits of doing as you described?
