Back story:

Bought an ECU from eBay.  Finally got all the stuff for a bench setup.  Tried Galletto but couldn't connect so I hooked up my MPPS.

Read the full 1mb file no problem.  Put the ecu in boot mode (I think) and flashed a basic stage 1 file but not under ' Generic '.

Tried to read out the file and match it with Winols to ensure success but the only thing coming out is around 320kb.

What am I missing?

Is the file NOREAD? Is MPPS real or clone?

Clone of course.  Maybe some day I will buy a real MPPS if this ever turns into something besides just screwing around.

The ecu is 06a906032hs 00008, I flashed an hs 00007 to it.

I realized the reason why I couldnt get Galletto to work is because the ecu does not see the drivers for it.  I changed the cable correctly too with Mprog.

You flashed in boot ,but not under Generic ? what did you choose to flash it ?
Just flash it again in boot mode as MIL_ON said with your ORI file .
Then start over.

Original MPPS is a must ,it is not screwing around Smiley

When I tried under Generic it went about 20% and stopped.  Not sure if it's a clone issue or it not being in boot mode.

Somewhat separate issue, but I changed the EPT on my blue cable and now it will not connect. Windows says the driver cannot be found

I have attached the ept that is currently on my cable.

Update:

I powered up the ecu using normal pins and pin 121.  Got bootmode with MPPS without issue after.

The file I was using before was based on an .bin output from Winols, started from this file http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=4171.15.  I think its corrupt as it only flashes a 330kb file but shows 1mb (can someone verify?)

Re-flashed the original file the ecu came with, and re read a 1mb file off it.

Flashed an SL file to it, and re read a 1mb file off it after.

Currently waiting for a new blue cable to arrive.......
