Who has a idea how to read this little bastard on the bench?
Afaik theres no BDM/Bootmode for this one, although it has the pads like the older Siemens models, but its Tricore of course.
The attached picture is all i found for a bench setup but this way either the immo or something like that seems to lock it as galletto can't read it that way. Is there a possibility to make it work without a car?

Although this thread was lacking some interest Wink
heres the solution for correct reading a MSD81!
I did it with Galletto V54 on the bench using a bench harness in normal Car Mode. Only remark: Theres an error in pin assignment in the first post! GND has to be applied to Pin 4 instead of 3!

Additional: i read the EEprom using a clip while it was still in circuit!

What do you mean with "using a bench harness in normal Car Mode". You made an harness between the OBD2 male connector of the galletto, and the ecu pin, and read the ecu as the ecu is still in the car?

Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction where to put the boot clip/ pin?

Thx
