hi

i have 2 cars a6 2001 2.7t tip with engine code AZA

silver one had acciednt has 130.000 km

and the second car over heated and i removed engine from silver and instaled in second one

engine instaled complet with transmission and harness

i have misfire on bank 1 cylnder 1 and 2 and 3 ( i did not had misfire before removing engine )

i changed :

new 6 plugs from ngk

3 coils

icms ( i changed them with bank 2 and the missfire and still in bank 1 )

air filter

fuel filter


i used engine carbon cleaner

i used injector cleaner

what i must do more to rezolve this problem

second problem o2 sensor

i had this code fault

o2 sensor internal resistance too high on b1 s1 and b2 s1

i changed them and come back

what to do ?

All your symptoms are on the right side, so sounds like damaged wiring. Maybe pinched when you were removing/installing?

My buddy andrew had this. His timing jumped 2 teeth on that side from the impact.

Also faulty O2 sensors are known to cause misfire on these. Checking the timing is pretty straightforward too but You need the locking tools to do it right.

i have misfire when accelerate hard

and i have misfire code sometimes without o2 sensor

and o2 sesor without misfire code

i checked volts with vcds and al cylinder have the same voltage

The best way to find to find a misfire on a 2.7t is to read MVB ( messure Value Blocks ) in this order...

1. BLOCK 32-- ( FUELING ) adaptations should be no more / less than 10% ever !

2. BLOCK 111 -( TURBO )  adaptations should not be more / less than 10% .  If over 10% you might have a boost leak or dying N75

3. BLOCK 93-- ( CAMSHAFT ) adaptation should be never over 12%. perfect would be 4% or less.

4. BLOCK 14,15,16 ( MISFIRE COUNTER ) it should never be over 5 misfires per minute ideally. More than 55+ will set a MIL / CEL



 TIPS : ...If the fueling is in the negitive around -12% or lower (  I.E -13% ..,-15% ..,-25%)  in MVB 32 and the turbo adaptations are over 10-12+% or more ....you have a boost leak . or a real crappy tune  Grin

 ... ----->If you have EGT fault codes that too will give you crappy performance and missfires..<----

... -----> the camshaft correlation timing has to be good other wise that too will give you misfires ( MVB 90 , 91, 92 , 93 ) MVB 93 is the important one.

 Other things that cause misfires

.... injector dwell is crappy or dying injectors
.... intake manifold gasket
.... combie valve stuck open
.... low fuel pressure
.... bad fuel pressure regulator
....  ***** plug gap is over .028" *****<<<<-------------!!!!!!!
.... the ignition units are junk ( POS / ICU )
.... *****clogged fuel filter ***** <--------!!

The above is excellent advice.

BTW there is a oneshot option to ME7Logger that lets you log single values and exit.

Need to figure out which of those adaptations are which ME7L values of course... time permitting I'll try to compose a list and post.

i think i changed evrey thing in the car

nu egt faults

swwaped injectors

swwaped icms and chenged it with another 2

changed maf

swwaped coils

new plugs from audi

air filter changed

fuel filter changed

what to do i willl pull my hair out

if i disconnect the battery about half hour then but it back and clear the faults no misfire about 30-50 km after that come on

evrey time i disconnect the batery no misfire

 ???Again.... what is the learned fuel values ( MVB 32 ) Huh .... What is the N75 learned values  ( MVB 111) Huh  You can replaced every thing and spend $$$$$$ and still not fix it. If you dont listen to the advice given you are just wasting your time. We need a driving log !

 Shocked.... oh Boy.. one more thing ... what is MVB 93.?  .. you might have a timing belt issue.  The timing belt might be off timing

in which bank ?

if bank2 i have camshaft sensor code

i replaced it with 3 and the fault wannt go

If the belt is off timing it will give you a camshaft sensor code.  Have you checked the timing on the timing belt ?

i did the timing job before 2 months
and i had the misfire before the timing job
