Hi, Im currently making a second cable because the ecu pin setup for 1.8T 97-98 is different. My first cable was for an a-box from my s4 b5 and it work like a charm. So i made the cable k-line,12v,ground.everything seems fine but when i try to connect to anything with it, i get that theres too many communication error.
Is there anybody that can help me make it work, at that point im clueless since my first setup work fine.
thx

pin 43 is only for flashing and must be disconnected for regular bench access.

Fairly sure that both Vcds and monoscan both connect fine with pin 43 powered up on a 99 euro agu...

Too many communication errors to continue.

Remove pin43. Should work.

Wouldn't be the first time  Grin

Edit: Just checked my AGU bench loom, its definitely got 13.4v on pin 43. VCDS 14.10.0 connects to it fine and reads the fault codes. ECU is a 06A906018D from a Euro 98/99 AGU A3.

I have 2 M5.x ecus for testing.
99 Passat 1.8T 8D0 907 557 P wont connect with PIN 43 connected.
99 Beetle 2.0 06A 906 018 AB Will connect with PIN 43 connected.

I made my cable with a toggle switch to deal with both situations.

in case and I think I am right 018D is not flashable , it should have pin43 connected Smiley a 018CG for example would not connect to vcds with pin43 connected Grin
