In this case, this is on an LP 1.8t

16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation
            P0234 - 35-00 - Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)

Is that from DLDR LDO, LDRA, or DLKVDK?

And is it a max_Error (LDO, DLKVDK) or a min_Error (LDRA, DLKVDK)?

More importantly, how the HELL do I correlate DTC ids with DFPM sources?

going from this

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=567.0

in the 1.8T LP file, I believe the DTC table starts at 132DC

0234 appears at 1359c and 135b4

DTC at 107B8 and 107BB
107B8 is CLALDO, 107BB is CLALDR

LDO is disabled, which leaves LDR

DTC table start 132DC
P0234 DTC 1359C
Error class table start 10760 (CLAAAA)

1359C-132DC=2C0

2C0/8=58

10760+58=107B8

107B8=Fehlerklasse: LDR Überladefehler (CLALDO)

So as suspected, this is an UNDERBOOST related code in this file, which is generated when the LDR PID i-max trim maxes out due to underboost...

In the LP file, CLALDO is disabled, so it can never generate P0234, only CLALDR can generate P0234

The same thing with positive and negative deviation. For 2.7t negative is an overboost, for 1.8t negative is an underboost. I believe its VCDS mistake.

I emailed Uwe and he seems to agree that VCDS can't tell (and can't know) the difference.... I suggested that they should remove the overboost/underboost too high/low message entirely for P1556/P1557/P0234
