Hello all, I've been browsing the forum for a while and I still can't understand everything here. I have a 1998 audi s4 (euro model) with gt2860 turbos and a aem f/ic for controlling fuel and ignition and clamping the MAF sensor. I live in Romania and here there is no reputable S4 tuners so I can't get a proper tune for my car so I used the f/ic (a friend of mine knows how to tune it). The downside of using the f/ic over a standalone is that I don't have control over all of the engine's features. I need to code out my EGT's, throttle cut and I want to raise the rev limiter from 7250 to 7800. I don't know if I have to bench flash my ecu or it cand be flashed through the OBDII port. All I know is that my car has AGB code on it and that it has the 512kb version of the ecu so I don't think it is an M-box or A-box or whatever... So if anyone could help me with these problems I would really appreciate it. Sorry if my english is bad and for my noobness by wasting your time reading this...

Hi Sorin.
Do you have a cheap KKL (ODB2 to usb to serial) cable?

If you do then read your ECU and post the version here. Then we can help.
IF you don't have one, then get one Smiley

Personally, that is the only cable I ever use.

Hello neighbour! (i am from Russia)

Look at your version of ME7. If this is a 8D0 907 551C-this is OK, there is alot info about this box. I tune myself s4 with 2 garrett gt28,  its run strong without any boost-fuel etc controllers. But if you motronic is 8D0 907 551-its no good. Very first me7 i think, no information about CD bites, and hard to tune. Despite i found kfldhbn, kfmirl, kfdluls, ldrxn (with thanks to gremlin)-i cant obtain requested boost bigger then 1680 millibar. I dont know why.

I have managed to get hold of the original ecu file from mtm tuning (the tuned file was encrypted so nobody could read it) but the problem is it's not a .bin file, it is a .dat file. If someone can have a look and tell me if it can be tuned....

I think you might be better off leaving tuning to someone else if you don't even know what to do with a 512kb .dat file...

I've managed to open the file with tuner pro and of course I need a xdf file, that was all. I want to know how can I raise the rpm value to 7800, the xdf doesen't have a rpm value.

Why don't you try flashing a c box file to it?

Even if I flash a C-box file I still need to code out the egt's... so I guess I'll still have the same problem like before. If you know a .xdf file for the c-box that can let me disable the egt's please let me know...

I can probably find the constants you need in a C box, but first try flashing it so see if the car will run.  C box has an immobiliser.
