Just a quick question sorry if its been covered 1000 times before. Ive done a small bit of tuning and loading files on my own Golf 2003 Mk4 with1.8t AUM Engine, My Friend has the same golf with the same engine Code AUM but is a year 2000 car. Will the file from my car work directly on his car or will it throw up issues? Ive read somewhere on here about different ecus having the immo information in a slightly different location and then not starting when flashed with a file from a different ECU?

AUM is always 1024kb
but different immos

think ill get another ecu identical to mine, turn immo off then flash my file onto it, cant go wrong then

to OP: you can try if you ready to bootmode. im using immo3 2004'tiptronic AWP ecu (032LQ) with immo2 2001'MT (032DR) software without any issues but dont know about vise-versa
