I am doing an 01e 6-speed swap on my D2 A8 facelift and was wondering if there is a manual file somewhere I can use to recode or flash my ECU with. I have heard it's been done before since there is a factory A8 manual car in EU. Anyone...?

There was no factory manual D2 A8 that I am aware of.

D2 S8, sure.

Not sure what the original ECU number is. I'll have to pull it out to look. Is there a way to tell what ECU it is just by the VIN? I suspect this year car is mixed ECU's since it is a facelift vehicle.
