Will update more - the eprom/factor/offset in this early version is the main map one - later ones will have the axis info laid out better.

Quick pic to show what I mean;
Red - Main map or function
Blue - X axis info if req'd - these will be laid out better in the newer files
Yellow - Y axis

Purple - nine and I not working properly on one of the computers I have used so had to do that at times!

M3.8.1. 12V 256 ecu - I've added a few hundred to 258CP, 258A and 258AF VR6 ecu's as well and only had slight problem in ignition on the CP.

Continuing with the original 12v motronic file;

Below is a stock bin from a 98 VR6 12V which out of the dozen or so I have tested seems the easiest to define using the original read only file in the first post if you want to make a master reference file/def file, not sure if hacked software allows you to export the read only file or not, having never used it. Anyone shed light on how some tuners seem to be using said file?

Anyway, to do it properly there's nothing wrong with writing out an entire ecu yourself for learning on!
To help get lined up in Winols demo I have added a quick screen shot plus I always build my own def excel files for them so laid out the first two to get you started so you can work from there if you want as you go along?

Remember though, there were some differences between models and the read only file is supposed to be a turbo one whereas the stock is na so many differences due to that, it's mainly about laying out your ecu contents first and foremost before tuning.

Again, get Libre office if you don't have it and your reader can't open the ods file.
