i've been perusing this forum for a couple weeks and am finally ready to try my hand at some programming.

i need an ECU for an 03 Mk4 AWP engine that i'm working on.  the engine will be going into a manual trans vehicle, so i believe that the part i need is 06a906032PL (or 032LP).  however, these ECUs are rare and expensive on ebay, while many others (like the 032MC and 032MD) are plentiful and cheap.  are all of the 06a906032 ECUs hardware-compatible?  could i buy a 06a906032MC and load the bin files for a 06a906032PL onto it?  (yes i know i will also need to change the eeprom to disable the immobilizer).  is there an easy way to determine which ECUs share the same physical hardware?

thanks for any guidance!!
