People are putting all this work into trying to simplify something that just can't be.

I remember seeing a guy using this little box on a Subaru that seemed to do everything a VAG guy could ever dream about. I guess it's not as awesome as I thought?

You are limited amd contolled. I am a Cobb tuner, its a hassle.  Would rather customers spent the money on more hardware and stayed open source.

Motronic is far more complex than anything a subaru has.

The odds of *automated* mapping "simple" concepts into map modifications of a Motronic file successfully are zero.

AccessTuner Race would be for end user (consumers) - the AccessTuner PRO they mail you a security dongle.  I think maybe because they started to offer a number of other bosch powered units (ford, porsche and bmw) - they are thinking about VW/Audi?

Either way the OTS maps arent so great - and its an expensive little gizmo just to flash the car with it...

at least for my brothers EVO X he had the map editor they called "Race software", i think. i didnt get a chance to even mess with it, as he got a divorce quickly after i installed the wideband bung. i almost didn't believe him when he said that his 2011 car wasn't wideband! didnt even have time to wire in my LC-1. (probably a good thing) but it seemed on par with the other editing software for evo's and such. he quickly traded it in for an altima....smh

In WRXs, there is a direct correlation between presence of Cobb Accessports and exploded ringlands.

The 2.5 engines grenade on stock software as well due to the shitty pistons.
