Hello guys, i come from Germany and i´m reading in this Forum for a while - It´s great here!
My english isn´t very well, i´ll hope you can understand me...

I read the Login Code from my ME7 ECU with the tool from this site, works perfect.

Now i bought a new cluster for my Audi A3 1.8t Engine because the original Cluster is broken and have the half display only, the new cluster has the big "FIS" Display. Both Cluster are Immobilizer 3.
I wann put the Engine in my Polo 6N. It runs but turns off after 3 seconds (immobilizer)
At first:
I tried to read the Login Code from it to match the immobilizer to my ECU.
The program i used (VAG Tacho) is unable to read the code.
I don´t want to disable the immobilizer.

At Second:
I wanna match the Mileage to the Mileage from the original cluster of the Engine.
VAG Tacho says i should put my battery off for 2 minutes the the Mileage is the new. This don´t work Sad

I´ve 2 files attached, one from the Memory Buffer File from VAG Tacho for the Login Code, the second is for the Mileage?!

If someone needs another Files please help me whic program i should use to read the necessary data.

I hope that you can help me.

So soon,
Florian

Please post binary files read from both your clusters (old and new).

You can read files from your clusters using VAG Tacho and then save using save file option from file menu.

Okay, i´ll try this a little bit later...

Thanks for your help...

One question:
My old (original from engine) cluster has IMMO2. When i bought the engine i don´t became the original ecu for it, just the broken original cluster.
So i bought an ecu with immo3 with mapping from SKN (190HP). It´s for my engine (AUM) but a little bit newer (2001). My engine run with tha ecu but only 3 seconds.

So that´s wrong what i´ve written in my first post...
I´ve the Cluster from engine with IMMO 2 (broken, just for the mileage)
I´ve the new Cluster with the big Display and IMMO 3 (communication with ECU is okay, no more fault) and
I´ve the ECU with IMMO 3 where i´ve read the Login Code successfully.

I´ve read the Login Code from old cluster with IMMO 2 but this one i can´t match with the ECU, and i don´t wanna do because the cluster is broken.

I´ll get out the bin files from both clusters and post it!

Give me a moment...

Thanks!

So we need IMMO2 cluster dump to get the mileage and the dump for your new IMMO3 cluster which your are going to use to read login and insert mileage data.

It seems your VAG Tacho is unable to properly read your new cluster - just look at the file you attached (even with notepad).

You should look for someone with VAG-DASH-COM/VAG-DASH-CAN or AVDI with proper licence.

Okay thanks...

I´ll try to find someone with VAG DashCom to read the eeprom.

With VAG DashCom it will work 100%?

I´ve an early version of DashCom (1.65 i think) somewhere on my disk... Will this work with my standard KKL Cable?!
I try to search it and try it...

AFAIK VagDashCom needs a dongle inside the interface so IMHO it will not work with a standard KKL interface.

I used it in the past with Bosch/Motometer tachos but those were VW clusters and Audi is more tricky.
