If anyone has a standard bin file for this ECU it would be much appreciated....

I'm new to German tuning but have been tuning Evo's for a few years now I understand mostly everything on TunerPro except for a few things/tables.

My buddy has one of these S4's and he bought a tune from a known shop and is having major issues.  Let's just say he's "knocking on heavens door" and cracking spark plugs because of it...bad situation.  Basically I want to compare a stock bin file vs. the awesome tuned file Wink

On my Evo, I'm running two maps via a map switching harness wired into stock ecu into an ADCOF input.  One map for E85 and the other pump.  He has the three maps selected via stalk.  He is buying the flashing cable as we speak (already has logging cable).  When I read his ecu with tunerpro, will I get three bin files?  Will there be some sort of Alt map section?  Is there a different XDF for that?  Where can I DL more xdf files ie..1.8T stuff for VW?  And also basically any xdf file for any VW or Audi?  Is there a repository of some sort?

The reason for the use of tunerpro is because it's very similar to EcuFlash (evo flashing software)...The lemmiwinks thing seems to broad of an adjustment for some of the tables, or maybe I'm misunderstanding how it works.

Enough rambling...any sort of help as far as the stock bin file, descriptions on how to program more that one map via stalk control, xdf info, etc would be much appreciated..

Here is an original file that should work. There are a couple different software revisions for the M box though.

A lot of the S4 tunes out there have knocking and air fuel ration issues. The tuners just hack the ecu until it works well enough at WOT.

When you read his ECU you will get one file. The three different map setups are all in the one file, and the ECU code just switches between them. If he has multiple map settings to switch between you will not be able to use any available XDF, OLS, or DAMOS files out there. The maps will be laid out in a proprietary way to all for switching between them.

Lemmiwinks is really just for tweaking a few basic broad settings. It is not for creating a real tuned file.

Cool...thanks for the help, much appreciated.  Is the xdf file I DL for his S4 correct?  I know when my evo program address' are wrong the x/y values are not what they should be.  If it is wrong, does anyone have the correct xdf file for this bin?

Those don't look right.

Try this one. This is an early M box file, the first one I gave you was a late M box file.
