Hello Nefmoto members

I am working in Audi A4 (8E) 2003 1.8T gasoline with RB4 cluster. This car came to my shop with immobilizer-OFF, and with original cluster LOST. We bought a second-hand cluster and activate again immobilizer in ECU.

I am trying to match cluster-ECU and program the key again. I read the pincode of used-cluster with carprog. I also have pincode from ECU eeprom. As I told original cluster is lost.

I am trying to adapt the used-cluster with VCP. I login-IN in the used-cluster with the pincode of used-cluster(8174), then I select Adaptation, channel 50,click on read, and write the code of the ECU (6443), but when I click on TEST I got the following message: “ Request denied, RC->31 Request out of range. I mean the used-cluster don´t accept the pincode of ecu.

Is it true that I must make cluster new/virgin to adapt with VAG CAN Pro ?? (value 04 in channel 23 )

Can any of you take a look of my files, and if it is possible to make eeprom cluster virgin ??

Can you give me an idea of what to do ??

In Audis you need proper cluster for exact model year and engine/ECU combination.

Question. When programing these clusters can you get a junk yard one and virginize it or do you need to have a new one from dealer with 0miles?

It should be possible to use used cluster but Audi's are hard when working with clusters/immobilizers unfortunately Sad

I need help I am out of idea.
I want to instal S4 RB4 cluster on B6 ALT 2.0

I tryed this a year a to ago and it didn't work.
S4 cluster does  not want to accept original PIN code from car(2.0ALT), but it accept PIN code from my car (1.8T BEX)
So I thought it was maybe the year of production problem(ALT is 2001 year)

So I get normal RB4 cluster from year 2003( 2.0FSI) with keys and I only need to adapt ECU to pin code from FSI.

Then agan I instal S4 cluster, but it again does not want to accept code even from 2.0 FSI or 2.0 ALT.

So I bought new ID48 chip, put in key, adapted to cluster. Now when I read eeprom I see it is changed key ID
But still I have immo light flash

ECU does not want to accept PIN code from S4 cluster

At the end I tryed immo off but still i got immo light on.
I am wondering why S4 cluster does not want to adapt to new key?
What values there schould be on VCDS so I can confirm that new key is adapted to cluster?

I have yust one empty ID48 chip left and that is my last chance. Don't want to screw it up

Does clusted need to be in new mode 4 or 6 when I addapt keys?

Okay I manage to do it, partial  Undecided
I recode S4 cluster with 1.8T PIN code. Than I transfer that data in ECU eeprom and write them.
After that I manage to adapt new keys to cluster.
Everething is working only that now I have VIN from my 1.8T
