Funnily enough I tried the exact same thing yesterday, on a bench flash. I thought it had worked as, like you it said the immo was off but it obviously wasn't as nefmoto still said there was still security. Did you try the k+can while the ecu was in the car?
I have tried it in car and on the bench. If you read the ECU eeprom, then have it disable the IMMO and then read the ECU eeprom again you will see the changes have been made, but its reading the values from ram and they are never written back to the eeprom.
I assume because its a clone tool of sorts its missing the code that writes back to the eeprom, or the ME7.1.1 I have tried it on isn't compatible.
