Is this right steps to disable emission TDCs from immo equipped box?
« on: July 12, 2015, 02:27:26 AM »
ECU 4B0907551R. Car euro A6 2.7t 6sp MY2000 with unknown stage 1 tune. I have deleted SAI pump hardware from the car and also want to delete rear O2 sensors from software. My first goal is to read the flash. I have read the 95040 bin sofar. So now I have to edit 95040 bin file immo off, correct checksums, write it back in bootmode, then it's possible to use nefmoto to read my flash? Then edit flash, correct checksums, write emission delete flash in, and write the untouched backup 95040 bin back. Then I should have emission codes off with working immo and no need to do any adaptations with VCDS? I'm little worried, because I remember to have read somewhere, that some aftermarket flashes might not write back in. So then I'm left with 230bhp stock ecu wich is available in downloads. That would suck.

Good to know, thank you! This forum is so big information flow to my head, that it's hard to keep all info organized.

In theory, you can do the whole process w/o disabling the IMMO, but there is a chance things will go bad and you'll have to go through the whole immo disable thing.
Either way, make sure to make a back up of your eeprom before you do ANYTHING!
