Hi,

due to lack of attention over here: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=8617.0title=
i created this noob thread.

We have 98ron fuel here and the car is my daily driver.
Its a 1.8t converted to 2liter with K04-064 turbo from the S3 8P.
(3 inch from turbo with 100cpsi cat)

How should the boost on a wot run look like to NOT kill the turbo?

That turbo is capable of more than your stock MAP sensor will measure. But it is also known to surge on the 2.0 TFSIs between 3000-4000rpm. So keep that in mind when doing the mapping. E.g. APR keep the boost below 1.3bar under 4000rpm and then raise the boost above. Usually the most powerfull K04-064 run about 1.7-1.8 bar.

But beware of the stock rods in the 1.8t and do the 5120 hack if you want to run that kind of boost.

He's got rods, so it's fine.  Surge is true, I've got it between 3 and mid 4k.  After that, it's surge free and holding 26 psi until around 5.5k.
