Yeah, don't be flashing random files you have no knowledge about. That, and it kinda sounds like you're just chancing your hand for a free tweaked file.
Start from scratch, read the ME9.1 thread and try basic changes and go from there. End of the day, it's just fuel, boost and timing. Log your fuel as standard, make some changes, log again and see that actual changes reflect what you'd hoped. Rinse and repeat.
