So im working on a wideband conversion for a 2001 tt225. Ive decided to use a 032HS base Bin file on a 032HF ecu. Obvious differences between jetta and tt225 are the: Wideband O2, Injectors, Maf, Turbo, TT225 has no vvt, and the TT225 is 6 sp manual and has immobilizer. Ill be using a wideband harness adapter from unitronics as well.
I would like to compile a list of maps that need addressing for the k03 to k04 conversion.
KRKTE,MLHFM, LDRXN, KFLDRL, KFLDHBN, KFLBTS, KFLDIMX, KFMIZUFIL, KFMIRL, KFMIOP, KFTARX. That is where i was going to start. The timing maps look very similar between the tt225 and the 032HF. Most of the maps i listed will just get transfered from the 018BB(tt225 wideband) to my new 032HS Bin with no adjustment. I plan on turning the immobilizer off and just using a resistor for the VVT. The new wideband ECU i purchased was a 032HF that was from an automatic car and the tt225 is 6sp manual. Do i need to configure anything for that auto to manual conversion? Normally I would just go for it but this is for a buddy of mine and Im trying to avoid future headaches and downtime without the car running. It doesnt need to be perfect but it needs to be driveable from the point i swap ecus. If anyone has anyone has an input on this I'd appreciate it. There isnt too much on nefmoto about a wideband conversion and I wanted to break it down in a way that people can follow this as a guide.

My main concerns right now:
Will the 032hs Bin(032Hf ecu) work with a 6sp manual tt with no adjustments?
I know i have injectors and maf conversion covered but are KFLDRL, KFLDHBN, KFLBTS, KFLDIMX, KFMIZUFIL, KFMIRL, KFMIOP, KFTARX enough to adapt this ecu to a K04 happily?
Thank you for your time.

why would you not just use a 1mb 225tt file? BEA for example.

No exhaust gas temp sensor to code out is the main reason. I dont have a way of identifying which byte of ESKONF is for the EGT sensor. Same with the vvt but i was just going to resistor that. Also im not sure if i can flash a BEA file like a 018bb Bin to a 032HF ecu. For me as a beginner it seemed easier because so many people have gone k03 to k04 and it seems above me to define eskonf for this file by myself. Most of the threads i looked at on vwvortex suggested the jetta ecu route. If youre willing to share which byte configures the Egt ill switch to a tt225 1mb file.  Grin

Sure you do. Trial and error, or disassembly.

1. There is no need for resistors, the FR on here shows layout for every single ESKONF byte as well.
2. EGT code-out does not require ESKONF modification

You are doing this backwards, use a K04 file. Either TT or S3 018J.

On his 032HF ecu?

I haven't looked at the EPK, but 018J runs fine on a 032HN ecu for example.
Got one TT standing outside right now with this combo.

I'm not convinced that this thread makes too much sense.

You're putting the TT engine into the Jetta?  AFAIK, the TT is already wideband?

Why not just get a TT as a donor and transfer everything - loom, ECU, sensors, block, turbo, etc.

Also, I'm sure that the TT DOES have VVT?  Being a 2001 model, it has all of the SAI stuff?

I think you're making a mountain from a molehill; but maybe I've understood wrong.

Couldnt find a thread that describe all the EPK Signature informations.

Sorry for all the confusion. the car in question is 2001 tt225 018AT ECU. It is narrowband with no vvt and yes it has sai, also has no EGT sensor. I want to get this converted to wideband. The jetta ecus are more readily available that caused me to go that route.
From my understanding if you want to remove egt sensors and DISCONNECT the hardware you need to mess with eskonf. I know how to code it out to run off of calc egts but i didnt think id be capable of the ESKONF configuration. Im not saying its impossible but its time consuming for me to define it with limited access to the car. Whereas theres already jetta k04 files floating around on here. I was just going to make my own by porting the maps to a k03 file. That way i know its safe and isnt a risky tune. Also i would learn alot on the way about the boost PID and what makes it tick. The car has a cat delete and 3" downpipe too so I feel like even the wideband tt225 stuff might still need tweeking.
1. There is no need for resistors, the FR on here shows layout for every single ESKONF byte as well.
You guys suggest the wideband tt file on 032HF and im fine with that. I have a good 018BB bin and Definition i can use. Can you point me to where that FR is covering eskonf?
Thanks again for the help I know i need some hand holding. Sad

Run a BEA file. The bootrom is fine to run on an 032HF/MK4 ecu.

Running a K03 file on a TT225 is some backwards hack shit that has no business here Tongue

Thanks ddillenger for confirming the tt file will flash onto the jetta ecu.

You are wrong.
If i follow the s4wiki for egt removal and modify CDATR, CDATS, CATR and these too:
CLAATR - Error class exhaust gas temperature regulation
CLAATS - Error class exhaust gas temperature sensor
will that be sufficient? or is there another method im missing?
on my own 2.7t 551R ive got them coded out with but ive left the hardware. Im dying to know how to unplug them without dtcs.

I appreciate everyones help. I shouldnt have singled him out...You did suggest to run the k04 file first i was just unsure whether that meant running a BEA ecu or if the jetta one already purchased would run. I dont want to seem ungrateful. Id be buying garbage off the shelf tunes if it wasnt for people like you and this forum.
