Hey guys!

I tried to flash a S4 with d-box, with a k-box file.

The engine is an RS4 engine, but the dashboard is the
old one of the S4.

Car starts and is running, but problem is, that there is
an communication error with the dashboard and the car is
only running till 6000rpm.

I think this depends on MOTTYP. In the k-box it is 44, can
anyone say me, what code I should take for the S4 dashboard?

Greets

It limits the engine RPM to 6000 because the RS4 K file uses the oil temperature
via the cluster and when you use a K-box file in your S4 the ecu will read 255C as
the oil-temp and limit the rpm to 6000. You have to modify NMAXTO to fix that.

Lol check the address where NMAXTO begins, values between 8209 and 14097 RPM just sound WRONG if you have a stock file in front of you.

It should be quite obvious that map is completely defined wrong.

Care to guess how you might know that? Tongue

there are no good complete, publicly defined K-box xdfs. You've some work ahead of you if you wish to tune k-box.
