What age of beetle is it, and what type of throttle does it have? DBW or DBC?
2000 beetle 1.8T, DBW.
What size is the bin that you pulled from the original DL ECU?
512K
What ECU was originally in the ECU?
bone stock car so bone stock file.
Why not put the ECU designed for the Beetle, in the Beetle?!
because the 06A 906 032C is an odd ECU by looks of it and its a bit more expensive. i have 6 other ECU's sitting here from parts cars sitting on a shelf that are all in perfect working order so why spend money on one when i have one that could work in the car. plus if it really shakes down to it i may just convert the car into later wideband ECU setup 1MB ECU.
Or at least list engine codes. OP: you basically asked I have a problem help me. Like Adam said more info is needed in order to help you. Although the beetle must be drive by wire, the 032dl ecu would not of plugged in if it wasn't. M5.92 has a different harness plug. Awv>aww shouldn't have a issue. Both wideband and vvt. Op must have a narrowband early model? Does your big have vvt? If not then it's narrowband and 032cl is the file you'd want to use on the correct ecu.
Good luck
Marty
this car is narrowband early model with no VVT. im using exactly what is in my early 2001 GTI, 032DL ECU with 032HS BIN file tuned. been driving my GTI with it this way for almost a year with no problems. my GTI is a VVT car but its definitely a narrow band oxygen sensor which i found odd. the upstream is a 4 wire sensor and the downstream is removed off of my GTI with no cat.
