I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  On this ECU you must have all power off, ground boot pin, then power on with ignition on already, all power at once.  Then BOOTMODE!!!!

Resistor jumpers are in stock position and it works.  Thanks so much for the help!!

That is how you do EVERY ecu......

COMPLETELY POWERED DOWN. Ground pin. CONNECT ALL POWER.

Yes, this is the recommended procedure for all ME7 ECUs (even most ME7.1.1)

There are only a few that require resistor changes.

Guys, can you advise if those resistor has some actual resistance? I played with 1 ECU 7.1.1 - removed it (it got broken). tried just to put wire jumper - impossible to read via vagcom and cable status indicate malfunction by the LED. if I remove it - it just says - not connected to the car... in boot mode can read-write, no problem
